Membership
Our membership has held steady at 389.
Association's activities
Our leadership board is still in flux, but we have held a few events in the past six months.
The annual Chancellor’s Reception for New Retirees and Emeriti was held in November. We were able to promote the Retirees Association and the UC Retirees Travel Program. A Fidelity representative also was available to answer any questions.
We had our annual Holiday Party in December. Held at a local golf course, the lunch had a wonderful turnout. We had a drawing for gift cards and gift baskets from local restaurants and businesses. Proceeds from the drawing went towards UCSB student scholarships.
In January we held a lecture on downsizing. That event also got a great turnout. In April we will be having a tour of the historic Santa Barbara Cemetery. The tour will be given by a local historian who has written a book about the cemetery and will highlight the cemetery’s art, architecture and famous residents.
