Travel
Travel to Santa Cruz can be by car, or by plane or train with an additional bus or car ride from San Jose. The estimated travel time from the San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC) by car is 45 minutes or more depending on traffic. Guests are encouraged to allow extra time for possible delays when traveling in the South Bay Area and from San Jose to Santa Cruz.
Airport Transportation
There are many transportation options available between the San Jose Airport (SJC) and Santa Cruz. If multiple guests traveling from your location are on the same flight, consider arranging transportation together to reduce the cost per person. Local airport shuttle providers offer service to and from Santa Cruz. Some providers start as low as $115 for up to 4 passengers.
The average estimated price for Uber and Lyft starts around $65. For details, please see the Uber fare information page, and the Lyft fare estimator tool.
Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
Hotel Paradox has two charging stations on site operated through the ChargePoint app. Guests must pay directly through the app to use the stations, and rates through ChargePoint vary. Out of courtesy to others, the hotel asks that charged vehicles be moved to a standard parking spot to allow others to use the station.
Additional charging stations are located near the Santa Cruz County Governmental Center and within the Trader Joe’s parking lot on Front Street.
